If it makes you happy...3

My sprouting garden makes me happy

I'm a first timer and we started a little late (hello, June), but it's growing and soon I'll have beans, tomatos, peas, carrots, peppers, radishes, corn, lettuces galore and more.  You'll all have to come get some lettuce (really).  I'm going to have bushels full.

If it makes you happy... 2

Who has an awesome sister?
I happen to have 4.

But I want to talk about how ANNIE makes me happy.

Annie is an awesome person. She is thoughtful, easy-going, kind, talented (she gives killer haircuts), and she's gorgeous to boot. She is always up for a chat on the phone. She can talk me out of loneliness, boredom, or a grumpy mood.

She is a fab mother to her lively boy, and and a fab wife to Jed. I can always count on her to make a treat with me, and she is a person I love to be with. My kids love her too. Come to think of it it's not just me, everyone loves Annie. And everyone can't be wrong.

Who couldn't use more happy?
You should all do it too.

SYTYCD makes me happy.
Anyone? I know you're out there.

Also, giant pink marshmallows make me happy

Fire Rescue

Inspired by Macy's pre-school trip to the Fire Station, where Fireman Ken asked the kids what they would do if there was a fire (met by blank stares), we decided to have a FHE on fire safety.

I would say it went well, until we opened the discussion for questions. Macy had been listening very intently with only a slightly worried look on her face. Then she told us she knows she would have to leave all her things and get out. She kept repeating, "I KNOW, I KNOW I will just have to leave my things and we'll have to get new things. I KNOW I can't take my toys or my blankets. I KNOW THAT. I KNOW." Her voice got more hysterical until she was crying her little eyes out. Poor thing.

Polly, on the other hand told us if there was a fire in her room, a princess would come and help her out of there.

Clearly we are on different levels of comprehension.

Strike a pose

My ladies love their grandparents (all of them). . . a lot.

This is from a photo booth at a wedding reception over the weekend.

Thanks Grandma Janet, I stole them from your post.
